Unsolicited delivery - an update

Well, I eventually received a letter from the head office of the company delivering this item to me. This was some 6 weeks after my first letter to them.:mad:
They asked me to double check with all their retailers. I managed to get through to their central courier department that dealt with all their retailers.
They could not find a record of this item having been delivered, so they have asked me to dispose of it.
I have yet to receive it in writing but do have a call log number and name.
