Anyone got one ... are they any good do they actually cool or is it more a gimmic? If I bung a can of coke in there will it get ice cold, eventually??
I work up in the loft and the effort of going up and down is too much
Thanks
Ash

My daughter's bedroom is in the loft which gets really hot. She has one of those fridges up there and she says it is actually very good. Because of the insulation, anything in it seems to be protected from the heat even without it being switched on. If she wants things cold then she turns it on and it chills quickly. Her only criticism is the noise it makes but if you are not sleeping in the room it won't matter. She is very sensitive to noise when she is trying to sleep, other may not find it a problem. I personally don't think it is particularly noisy.
One other option is to chill things in your main fridge/freezer and then put them in the fridge where they will stay lovely and cold.0 -
I had one in my room in uni....it cools to 20C below the room temperature. I used it to keep milk etc in and it worked fine. I didn't even have it on all the time (one of those timers might come in handy).0
