Friendly Baby’s January Prize is...


...One of Two One-Year Supplies of Washing Powder from Simply, worth £72 each!


Simply’s passionate belief is that an environmentally responsible choice should be available to main stream consumers. In the case of their laundry detergents they’ve used a patented SoftTab technology to create a product which cleans as well or better than the traditional brands, doesn’t cost anymore (in fact on a cost per wash basis they’re nearly half the price of Ecover) and is independently accredited as minimising it’s impact on the environment.
Simply were the first UK manufactured laundry and dishwash brands to be awarded EU Eco-Label licences by DEFRA earlier this year. The Eco-Label standards are important in as much as they include stringent tests regarding biodegradability, packaging reduction, waste water content, chemical reduction etc but equally importantly they include stringent cleaning performance tests.
Environmentally responsible products will only start making a real difference when consumers have the confidence to move from major traditional brands and that means brands will have to offer value, great performance and credible green credentials. The EU Eco-Label which is being adopted on more and more products will do the same job for the environmentally responsible sector as Fair Trade has for ethical sourcing and the Soil Association has done for organic produce.
Both biological and non biological variants are available and the prizes can be any combination of the two variants. The one-year supply of washing powder is defined as 24 tubs of Simply Laundry.
