  • Hi Emisem,
I just got this email as well, and Im not sure if it is as good as it looks - maybe I am just being too suspicious.
My daughter got a phonecall from this firm just before christmas, and all the details of the offer were the same as in this "prize" - apparantly she had been recommended by "a friend". It does seem genuine up to a point, but the one thing that wasnt included was the price of any photographs taken on the day, a bit pointless having the makeover then not having any pics to show for the day -didnt dare ask what the pics would cost.

If you find out anything, please let me know - dont write it off as it may not be the same and may well be genuine

I'm too a little suspicious about it which is why i posted about it, and i can't seem to find the post from which i entered from (and cant remember it),

Can anyone who is better at using the search find it?!

I think before booking anything, finding out the cost of the photographs is something i'd have to find out first.

Is your daughter not going ahead with it?

I'm going to try find out some more on it if i can, somehow..
  • Hi,
my daughter is at university, and was really excited at first when she got the call, but was really disappointed when she found out she had to pay for any photographs, and as she is the typical "poor student" she didnt go ahead with it (you also had to pay a deposit by credit card whilst booking on the phone, which is apparantly returned on your day there).

I have just emailed all about you (which seems to be "she" magazine online) to ask if they can help varify it was a real comp, and ask if they have any more details - I'll let you know if they reply.

    i'm confused by it

as i didnt get the phonecall which is a scam.

    i found this
    http://www.allaboutyou.com/yourbeauty/bodyandskincare/doubletake-photoshoot-competition/

which looks like i have actually won thru allaboutyou.com but the closing date is november, which i dont think they would take that long to get in contact would they?

even so i guess the company sounds like you shouldn't touch it anyway:confused:
  • Its like the baby photographers who offer you a free sitting and a manky photo, they take about 30 photos, give you the manky one for free and then show you 30 fantastic ones at up to £100 each and give you the hard sell.
