Hiya All, Just a thank you to the person who posted about womens state pensions, dont know who it was, but i sent it on to a friend of mine last year who had been retired some time and only got 90p per week the reasons are very techie so i wont go into them, the upshot of this post is, through this forums advice she has just recieved a cheque for £4ooo back pay and will get £35 per week, RESULT.
She said it was worth the fight.

I think it was probably EdInvestor, but there has been a lot of discussion about this very topic. Anything is worth the effort! Nowadays women expect to have a pension in their own right but that used not to be the case, hence the anomalies. I'm glad for your friend.
