    Morning all,

Just a bit of bad news regards to one of my challenges but very good news for me ;).

On Friday night I decided I was going to join part of my family in Florida for two weeks in June. This is going to cost me in the region of £900 - £1000, that includes spending money. I only have to pay for the flight as my Dad has offered to pay the full whack for the villa / apartment. Unfortunately for my debt plan this is going to affect the clear a debt by April challenge in a fairly big way as it just isn't going to happen. I am going to swap the debt I want cleared to my car insurance which currently stands at £463.40. This should still be achievable.

  • well, look at it this way, you can still achive your goals as well as enjoy a holiday... the goals will just take a little longer... and you seem very sensible and know how to manage the change... well done!

The main achievement for me is this will be my first holiday that is paid for by my hard earned wages. I've always crept into a little more debt to fund the previous holidays.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

I'm doing good thanks, just getting very impatient for next months pay day as I think by then I can complete my clear a debt by April challenge which will be one debt gone.

However it could all go wrong as something is up with my car, it's going in next week and could be the steering column that is knackered (£700 steering column). Hoping it is something not so serious.

    How are you?

  • Hey Steameh,

I know what you mean... it's hard when you have to wait for payday... harder for you as it's monthly.
I get paid weekly, but it's just as hard becuase even though the debt comes down weekly it does so very very slowly!

Sometimes I wish I got paid monthly so that I could really feel that 'big bite off the debt' feeling!

That's not so good about your car huh? I hope that it's nothing too serious.

Apart from that. nothing much going on. I'm waiting for a refund to my credit card for cancelled long haul flights. When that comes in, I'll owe nearly nothing on my credit card which is good I suppose... but then it can take up to 12 WEEKS for the refund to turn up... humpfff!

    keep smiling!

Well providing nothing major is wrong with my car I should be able to clear my car insurance next month which will mean a massive £865.43 cleared from my debt in one month.

I'm sure once you get your refund it'll be a great feeling knowing you owe very little on your credit card.
