Bit of a techie one but still.
If you have a PCI Express slot but no good graphics card (like with most new dells), now's your chance to upgrade cheap as chips!
For £24 instead of £80+!!!!!!!!!!! its a crazy price for this graphics card.
1 DVI
1 VGA
1 TV Out
So you can use dual monitor and with 256mb graphics to play your favourite games (the sims, sims 2, whatever u like
)
Who knows if it will stay this price. i reckon no. A quick search on google shopping shows the next reputable site selling it at over £60....

p.s I know not many people trust saverstore, but simple..
1) They are now not the same company after being bought out etc.. No more administration or debts etc
2) pay by credit card. if anything happens, you're covered.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

I bought one of these from PCWorld Fenchurch St which is closing down in an AGP version for my media centre - but took it back because I didn't realise it had a whopping great big power requirement and an extra fan (=noise).
However, great bargain @ £15 down from £50 if you want to go check it out and they have any left...The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

I thinkto play your favourite games
is a bit misleading tbh. Depends what the games are. That card will struggle on the majority of recent games over the past couple of years on anything other than the very lowest of settings. There are a large number of games that'll be unplayable on it. It's coming up for 3 year old technology now which in the world of graphics cards is VERY old. For around £25 it's not too bad if you genuinely just plan on playing things like The Sims but at any price above that I'd steer well clear likewise if you plan on playing anything newer than Counterstrike Source at any resolution than around 1280x1024 which even then is pushing it for a lot of games. Excellent if you plan on turning your PC into a media PC and not gaming on it though

its still a good price for the card!
I've convinced work to buy me one so i can use dual monitor at work. sorted. Although didn't check the amount of power leads. never mind.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

I just thought it would be helpful to point out that it's not gonna play a lot of games that people might want to play that's all. To non-technical people there's maybe not much difference between The Sims and Guitar Hero 3 or Call of Duty 4 or Doom 3. Just thought I'd clarify what people can expect from this card. It's a good buy for the right person but an awful buy for others.
*EDIT* Oh yeah and dual monitor is great
Been using it for a while now on my Dell GX620 just using the VGA/DVI splitter cable they provide. Extended desktop is fantastic for work - started using it at home now too so I can play CoD4 and watch a film at the same time
Isn't technology great ? 0 -
Love dual monitor. Had it at home for years now. Nothing like football manager and itunes/msn to keep me going
. Or world of warcraft and thotbot :$
But yes now need it at work.. they wont spend money on a decent one, and found a £25 card pci express dual monitor which isn't too bad at all![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
