Looking forward to seeing you on Weds ...
I have been terrible at the weekend.
Have done so well with the day to day budget this month, but I did some 'bullimic' spending at the weekend and bought untold amount of lingerie, a skirt, a jacket, a scarf and a bag. Ran up about £250 on my credit card  ... I want to cry .... am picking myself up and starting again, but I could really slap myself !!! Credit card has been banished.
I don't over-drink, over eat etc, but once I pick up one item, then I can't stop .... can't remember the last time I went in a shop and bought just one item. Maybe I've got a fear of 'scarcity' and double up on everything just in case??!!! Even in Lidl at the weekend I couldn't just buy once packet of cheese, or one tin of tuna ..... have to find some middle ground methinks !!!Lightbulb moment: 1st Jan 2008

Ah needcash - don't beat your self up about it. We have all been there done that!
Can any of it be taken back for a refund? At least to clear a little off the card. At least this time you know you have made a mistake - would you have even batted an eyelid at putting £250 on your cc pre-lightbulb?0 -
Spent £93 in total this weekend..... Food and bits for Birmingham (£44), two new sleepingbags for DS as he's growing out of his (£34), and McDonalds last night (£13)..... all worth it tho!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

Hey Newmoneysaver ... thanks for the words of encouragement. You're right, and it is good to get it all off my chest in this way, and no, I wouldn't have batted an eyelid before!! Have put the whole thing down to 'experience', credit card is in a drawer at home and am determined not to do it again

Oh I've been so good I feel all virtuous:D
We *nearly* bought concert tickets yesterday for a band we'd love to see but after adding up just tickets, booking fee and parking it came to nearly £300:eek: . So I cancelled the order and we'll just enjoy the cd's instead. However..........we *might* buy some golf equipment this week..:o
OH and I took up golf in September and I (well 'we' as they were joint lessons) have had some lessons and we love the game. Up until now we've just used a couple of clubs the instructor sold to us for £10 and some others that we've just used for the lesson. OH and I want to buy some shoes and a couple of golf clubs - not a full set yet, so we're going to speak to the golf pro/our instructor at the club shop and see what we need.
Well our house has been on the market for a week and we've not heard a peep from the EA, it's depressing:mad:Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -

Thanks ... your words of encouragement have helped turn me round .... didn't really want to say anything to anyone at work .... they aren't being massively encouraging and seem to be expecting me to fail and can be quite cynical about my ability to do this given my 'history' ..... Thanks for the encouragement .. just what I needed :beer:Lightbulb moment: 1st Jan 2008
