Brought to you for the first time on DVD, Commando On The Frontline, which is released on 21st January 2008 documents the real life, no-holds barred journey of the Royal Marine Commando from Civvie Street all the way to the front line in Afghanistan.
Created by award winning documentary maker Chris Terrill (HMS Brilliant, Shipmates), who lived and trained with the rookie Marines of 924 Troop, Commando On The Frontline averaged 2.3 million viewers per show throughout the series that ran on ITV 1 for 8 weeks.
The series now available on DVD, gives viewers another chance to gain exclusive and unprecedented access to both the training and battleground, as Terrill follows a group of young recruits preparing for the intense and life changing experiences, that test nerve, stamina and intelligence, regularly faced on the killing fields of Afghanistan.
In addition to the series, the 2 disc DVD also includes the bonus feature, The 55 Year Old Commando, which tracks Terrill's own amazing transition from film maker to the world's oldest ever Royal Marines Commando.
