Based on the best-selling novel by Death Wish creator Brian Garfield and directed by Saw's James Wan, Death Sentence will be available to rent on DVD from Entertainment In Video as from January 7. It will be released on retail to buy on DVD and Blu-ray on January 21.
Nick Hume (Kevin Bacon) lives a stable and comfortable life with his beautiful wife, Helen (Kelly Preston), and his two teenage sons, Brendan (Stuart Lafferty) and Lucas (Jordan Garrett). And then one night, Nick’s perfect life comes to a screeching halt.
Driving Brendan home from a hockey game, Nick stops at a petrol station. There they get caught up in a robbery which leaves Nick’s beloved son dead.
The perpetrator, Joe Darly (Matthew O’Leary), is arrested, but despite assurances from the lead investigator, Detective Wallis (Aisha Tyler), the system ultimately fails the Humes and Joe is put back on the street. Driven by grief and rage, Nick decides to take matters into his own hands by seeking out his son’s killer. The question is just how far is he prepared to go in his quest for revenge?
