Dr Bach's rescue remedies... any good??

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever used any of these rescue remedies?
I've just been on their website and they have a facility to personally blend a remedy that's specific to me. I answered a few questions about mood, state of mind etc. The bottle is £9.99 (for a month's supply) and in true MSE style I thought I would see if I could get some recomendations before paying out for it!
I'm currently feeling and looking v rough. I've got a doctor's appointment on friday but I'm pretty sure all my symptoms are probably just down to stress so don't think there's much he can do. I'm loathe to take medicines etc although if prescribed I will take them if necessary but I prefer the idea of something more natural.
If it turns out it is all stress related are these remedies worth the money? Or would I get as much use out of just licking my pot plants?!?!:rotfl:
Thanks in advance!

They are Very Very good imo
I have taken them for a variety of things over the last few years and all seem to have done the trick with absolutely no ill effects.
I also swear by back rescue remedy, I suffer from anxiety and keep a spray with me as does one of my friends who also carries it
just a tip but try ebay for the bottles, which you can then mix up yourself, there is a website that "prescribes" different remedies for different moods and you can then pop over the ebay and buy the bottles + 1 mixing bottle for a lot less than the Dr Bach site
I'll try and find a linkSometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
I have used Rescue Remedy bought from Boots for many years and think it is fantastic in times of stress. Would never be without it. Don't know about personal blends though, although I am sure someone will soon come along who will have used them.0

Thanks for your replies!
I've been looking at the personal blends and the one for me would have 7 different things in it.
I must admit I can be quite sceptical about stuff like this but if they've worked for other people then £9.99 is a tiny price to pay to stop me feeling like I do at the moment.
Thanks again

When I bought some from my local health food shop (I was buying it for my OH as he was having a tough time) the lady told me that a fireman she knew was never without it as he couldn't cope with the stresses put on him otherwise.
In the end OH didn't use it but have myself (to get me thru' funerals, especially my Mother's).
I don't now about personal blends, this was the "off the shelf" version that I got. Maybe it has a little of everything in.
Up to a point yes I think Bach Rescue Remedy helps.:wave:0 -
Try this link
http://www.bachremedies.co.uk/
and go to the remedy chooser
It will tell you which remedies are best for you based on the info you put in. You can then buy full size (10ml I think) bottles from ebay for about 3 or 4 pounds each. I know if your having 7 this works out more expensive but if you buy a mixing bottle, fill that with water and put 4 drops of each in the mixing bottle this is your remedy, so works out cheaper in the long run.
Might be worth paying £9.99 for first one then if you find the help paying the extra as will work out less eventually

i dont know about personalised remedies, but i can vouch for the rescue remedy if that helps you make your decision on the efficacy (sp) of the whole bach idea.
i offered to hold a friends horse to be humanly destroyed (shot), and it didnt quite go to plan. it didnt die instantly, and i could feel myself going into shock once it was over. i had some drops of rescue remedy and felt myself come out of it almost instantly.
so i would say they work and if you can get it specific to you/your emotions, go for it (so long as you trust their experience)0 -
I can't find where they blend your own personal remedy, is there a link? I've found the remedy chooser which helps you select which remedy to go for but that's just for the ones that you can buy in Boots etc.
I never go anywhere without Rescue Remedy. The trouble is that in times of stress or anxiety I always forget to take it until I'm calming down! Then I take a few drops and feel pretty much fine again!:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0 -
Another rescue remedy fan here
My only problem is that I use it before the dentist and am always conscious of smelling a bit alcohol-y
I figure it's worth a try...although if it's stress I'd also recommend walking as a stress reliever. There's something about the motion of walking that is very calming ... and I say this as someone who has suffered quite a bit from anxiety in the past.0 -
Love the Rescue Remedy!0

I have used it - didn't really think it worked (and have tried more than once) also made me feel really rough - bad head, felt sick and bad tummy.Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0
