Freezing things

Hello all
I know this might sound like a daft thihing to ask but i'm a singleton trying to get life back on track.
The few veg i eat I eat cooked are potatoes, mushrooms and onions.
But i throw alot away :mad:
Can you freeze the above, everytime i try they comeout all wrinkled and i just throw them away

why not buy bags of frozen mushrooms and onions, it will save you throwing it away because you can just take out what you want.proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance!Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat moneyquote from an american indian.0

I buy onions fresh, both red & white & when coming to the end of thier life i slice/chop them up & have them in the freezer in bags ready to go when needed, I haven used them yet but am looking forward to the simplicity of it!
Im new to all of this but its taking over my life!!2010 is my DO IT year! grow own bits,savvy shopping,organised!!Get a hobby!!! be fit!! be happy!!

Since coming on these boards I am amazed at the things you can freeze and now have no waste which has saved me lots of cash. I used to throw bananas away when they got too soft but now freeze them for banana loaf, stale bread for puddings, left over veggies for soups. I hate peeling oinions so buy a bag and slice them in food processor and freeze in small containers. Oh the bliss of just getting one out of freezer and adding to meal. I even make my own garlic bread now with rolls reduced from supermarket at end of day.0
