Hope this is the right board. I was going to join Freecycle but it seems you have to apply for a Yahoo email address. Is this right or is there a way round it.

Don't know if there is a way around it but you will need a separate account anyway as you will get 100's of e-mails and it is best to keep it separate.

Thanks very much for replying. I already have a couple of email accounts and didn't really need another. Not too keen on receiving lots of emails.

you can sign up from any email address and you can opt out of receiving emails unless they are in reply to any post you make

Thanks, I did check Freecycle homepage but the only way to register seemed to be through a Yahoo account. Have I missed something?

I had to sign up to yahoo, but you then have an option as to which email account you would like email to go to i.e we have directed ours to another address, thus nothing goes in to our yahoo account - we never look at it anyway.
