Sainsbury: Carlsberg Christmas Brew - £1.49 for 4 cans

Every Christmas, Carlsberg see fit to produce a limited edition “Christmas Brew”. I assume it is to satisfy some EEC tax rebate or to offer the perpetrators of domestic violence a seasonal alternative. Sainsburys are now selling this vile drink at £1.49 for four (440ml) cans. I believe for the gullible this was originally available at the giro busting £3.99 for four.
Please note this post is only advising the offer. Having had the misfortune of accidentally buying a case last year I cannot recommend its consumption for any other purpose than to pick a fight with a tramp.
It is a brewed “in the EEC and Northampton” to the traditional Carlsberg recipe. It looks and tastes like diesel polluted swamp water. At 5.6% abv it will give Stella aficionados the red mist in half the time and promote a tsunami-sized hangover. If this is what the Danes drink at Christmas it can only contribute to the higher than average suicide rates and excessive use of pornography in Scandinavian countries.
As I have said, this post is an advisory not a recommendation. If you want to wake up in a custody cell smelling of wee, then grab a couple of packs and make some new friends down the park.
Enjoy…..
