    Hi casey
I went b/c end of nov,had phone interview in early dec and got letter saying an IPA would begin in jan. I think a lot depends on how busy your OR is. They do not back date it ,the 36 mths start from the date of the first payment.Hope this helps.Dalip

To be honest i guessed i would get one and i was not bothered. When i had my interview i was £117 a month over so i got an IPA of £50 per mth. That to me is peanuts compared to what i had been paying so i was quite happy with it. Some try to avoid an IPA/IPO but i feel better paying something back. Each to their own i suppose.Dalip

I can't ever recall hearing of the OR's office writing to someone to tell them that they WON'T get an IPA.

The OR's try to keep non-essential admin to a minimum because of time/cost constraints.

Considering that you have already heard about the car/tax I think it's unlikely that you will now get an IPA, but as always that can change if your circumstances change.
