Help me make the right move!

Hi there
I am in a bit of a quandry with what to do with my debts! I am having problems making mu minimum payments on my credit cards and me and oh have been wondering what is best to do. We have approx 34K of unsecured debt.
We have rang up a few loan co's with a view to getting a secured loan, but we dont have much equity and dont feel its the right way to go anyway.
I have made contact with CCCS and they are so busy and are ringing me back next wk.
Am thinking of either contacting all my creditors to see if they will allow me a 'payment holiday' for a few mths, dont know if this is a good idea or not.
I have a good full time job but am of sick at mo with depression, hubby has a part time job so it fits in with childcare and looking after my mum( hes her carer) so things have been very stressful for me and have had to take time off work, and am looking at going part time but need the money for my debts!
Its a vicious circle, it really is and I dont know if I will be able to go on a dmp if my life is so up and down!
Any advice???
