i know this has probably been posted a thousand times, but i've just got my camera out to take to india next week, and it's broke.

seems the spring has gone behing the button you push to take photos.

Now i'm going to need a camera, so has anyone seen a good bargain out there, i just want a nice slim one, pref with video and sound.

My advice is join which for free and then you get to see their recent reviews of digi camera's - thats what I did and was really pleased. Then just pick a best buy in your budget.

I did have a CANON IXUS and loved it - then managed to drown it a handbag full of water so had to claim on my holiday insurance and went for another brand and really wish I had stuck to the canon as I found it easier to use than the one I have now.

Ooh and one other thing - the techie thread tends to have lots of clever people in it when it comes to stuff like this - You may get more luck over there.
