Scottish Widows

They certaintly like to use a lot of paper. Cancelled my Income Protection plans about a month ago and since then ive had a letter asking for confirmation. So i write again explaining. Then i recieve a letter asking for confirmation for my other plan ?????? I telephone to say i've done it. Whilst im on the phone i'm told i'm due some money back. Woopppeeeee Doo !! First though i'll have to write in and ask for it. Then i recieve a letter this morning asking for a letter to cancell ??????????? What ? No wonder theyre cutting trees down left right and centre. Scottish Widows must be Staples' biggest customer.

  • Thats nothing, There wasn't a problem with the rain forests till they came up with the financial service act which just happened to coincide with the talk about our future as a paperless society.

Did you write to tell Scottish Widows you wanted to cancel or did you just cancel the direct debit?

If its just the direct debit, then Scot Wid have no choice to keep writing to you as you have only cancelled the payment instruction and not the contract.
