Derby/Notts car boot sale

Hi, not sure if this is the right forum to post in but....am looking for a car boot type sale as kids have had a clear out and we have quite a bit of stuff to get rid of. Not suitable for e bay really so thought would do table top[/car boot so kids can earn some money. We have done Derby cattle market Sunday car boot before a few times but am not over keen for a variety of reasons. I just wondered if anyone know of anywhere else I could try? We are hoping to to do oine in the next few months and live on the Nottingham side of Derby. Thanks a lot

Derby cattle market is the big one every Sunday..q pricey tho can't remember how much and loads of booters go but also loads of customers...though they do expect v low prices for stuff we noticed last time we did one there! Oherwise look in the local paper (Derby Telegraph) and on local boards for other car boots.

I'm not that familiar with the area but I do go to the Matlock car boot on a Sunday, it's great, nice atmosphere, everyone seems friendly

I always get exactly what I wanted too :j

nottingham carboot at colwick racecourse is very good! google it as believe they have a website!

Derby's Cattle market car boot is £10 I believe and I think the gates open for set up at 7.30 am (last time I looked at the council website)

There is one most Sundays at Tansley - A38 from Derby - take the Alfreton exit and follow the signs to Matlock. this is normally quite a large but friendly one with easy parking (in a field! so need to watch the weather!) Often have them on Bank Holiday Mondays too. Keep an eye out over the Bank HOliday for various events as they often have car boots with them too.

Would recommend calverton car boot more than colwick ( there is too many bargain hunters trying to knock you down to nothing)
Calverton also has a kids bouncy castle and dirt bikes as well I believe.
I prefer Calverton to Colwick

Don't know if you're still looking for new car boot sales in Derby but there's a new one just started between Borrowash and Risley, 2 mins from the A52/M1 junction 25 island.

It's £5 for a stall (£7 for vans) and, even though it's early days, it's been popular so far. Sellers set up from 8am, buyers are let in a 9am.
