Hello all..my first post... :j
I have been avidly reading MSE looking for deals on Dell. I finally made a purchase today so I wanted to pass on what I got...
Used code d - d07302a
Dimension 3000
Intel Celeron 3.05GHz Processor
256MB RAM
80 GB HD
CD-RW/DVD-ROM
17" TFT
90 day collect & return service
£350
As they have an offer for free double memory which for some reason didn't apply to my choice I phoned them (not the 0870 number thanks again to MSE)
and this is what I got
Dimension 3000
Intel Celeron 2.66GHz Processor
512MB RAM
80 GB HD
CD-RW/DVD-ROM
17" TFT
1 yr next business day service
(plus usb optical mouse - I don't think they do the old ball ones anymore)
£357
(They also tried to sell me their speakers and modem for £25)
Hope this info helps somebody. I know it's not straight forward, but money saving is like that sometimes!!
