Hi..
I dont know if anyone can remember when the halifax bs bought out Leeds permanent..and paid a windfall to anyone who had over £1000 pounds in their account..
The thing is I had £1001 and yet they closed my account and sent me a cheque was this legal..??

Also you needed a share or loan account. A cardcash type account usually doesn't qualify...0

I don't quite understand - why would they have closed an account that had a balance of £1001 in it? Are you sure that you didn't ask them to do close it but you've just forgotten? What reason did they give for closing the account?0
