'The new Sade' The Independent
"Like an all too welcome breeze in the midst of an equatorial meltdown

Nigeria born Nayo arose from the tragedy of losing her father & amidst the harsh realities of her troubled nation. She grew up grooving along to Astrud Gilberto, Sade, politically charged lyrics of Nigeria's own Fela Kuti and Bob Marley & looked inward and sought to turn around her tragedy into something positive.
With this renewed sense of determination, she relocated to the UK shortly after and released her debut single African Girl in 2007. Remixes of the track immediately found its way to Number 11 on the UK Club Chart and on to the Ministry of Sound's "HedKandi Serve Chilled" compilation.
Her second single "Desert Storm" even surpassed this achieved with a new club chart entry of Number 4.In Nov & December 07 she has received strong support from national, digital & regional press with 3* reviews from the Daily Mirror, Metro & Time Out & is set to make a splash with her debut album African Girl.
African Girl is blessed with some the finest writers and producers around including Pat Leonard who has written for Madonna and Chris Rojas who has produced for Pink.
Key tracks include: African Girl, Fool for You and the second single off the album "Desert Storm"
