very cheap printer ink

I've had all mine delivered today.
OK it's not the fastest at 9 days BUT it's certainly the cheapest.
10 x 30ml cartridges + 20 x 15ml cartridges of all colours + 2 free gifts for £15.05 - UNBEATABLE!
Had a quick try out of the colour cartridges by printing a few photos - have NO complaints whatsoever!
There's still a day left of the sale for people who haven't seen before.0 -
You should only do this if you have replaced or cleaned the Waste Ink Pads in the printer, otherwise you might find Ink starts to leak out of the printer. The printer stops working to prevent ink leakage when the pads are full of ink. This can happen after only a couple of years on the smaller Epsons (eg C42) if the printer is used regularly.
Andrew
Out of many printers I have done only one needed the pad cleaned.
Printers do seem to get this error regardless.
It might be caused by cheap cartridges.0 -

I agree with andyf07
The waste ink pads do need replacing eventually.
I replaced mine but sometime later I should have replaced it again because when lifting my elderly Epson I tipped it spilling ink on the carpet. I've replaced the inkpad, but the carpet is still black.
BTW the price guarantee at ink.co.uk has been extended to 10th Feb.0 -

I agree totally if you have been running your printer for years.
Clean the pad, Wholeheartily agree!
The printers can get that same error after cheap cartridges
without pad being full of ink!
I have opened many and pad was bright white!0 -
Epson compatibles are nearly as good as Epson originals - that's why they have been trying to get rid of third party aftermarket cartridges.
It's a bit like Ford saying you can't put a generic exhaust on your car - it may be slightly different to the genuine one, but still works as well.
What I can't understand is the way printer companies are reducing the amount of ink down and down - some of them now come with less than 5ml in them.
I've got an Epson dx4450 and use these compatible cartridges the best thing about them is the extra in in them - nearly 3 times as much.
Note of caution:
Be carefull with these newer type of cartridges though, Epson have been messing about with the chips on them and changing them every 2/3 months, so that their original ones work ok and the compatible ones don't.
This happened to me the first time I tried compatibles :-(0
