Do you have an out of season (summer) duvet you could fold and put in there?"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Whatever you choose to stuff the floor cushions with, please, please do not be persuaded to use any kind of polystyrene.
In a fire, it is an absolute killer because it is highly inflammable and the smoke is deathly toxic. I speak from bitter and dreadful experience ....0 -
thanks - i wasn't thinking anything like polystyrene anyway - i want to use something within the house - i haven't got a summer duvet but i do have a cot quilt which is not used anymore, i didn't know whether to wrap it round a pillow to bulk it up.Give blood - its free0

The supermarkets, Woolies and Ikea all do budget priced duvets. It might be worth checking them out. Use them in your floor cushions and you will always have a spare duvet for sleepovers0 -
I think the cot quilt around a pillow is definitely worth a try. It will be small enough to wash in the machine too? might be useful in case of spilt drinks etc.
Last week I cut up a couple of spare duvets and used half of one to make myself a body pillow. I'm so pleased with it that I'm making a V-shaped pillow for reading in bed; I like the idea of a long bolster pillow (which is what we used to call them before someone came up with the posh name of body pillow!)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
