sounds like good advice!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Am mostly on the new posts bit just to see whats going on and whats new
Never hold your farts in. They travel up your spine, into your brain, and that's where you get s****y ideas from.

I usually hit new posts to browse the entire site. I'll go over to whatever board I need advice at. Green and ethical - for plant and recycling stuff, Up your income - self explanatory
, Grabbit - to keep an eye out for cheap things I might need.
I have to admit, outside of DFW I've run into folk with some horribly stinking attitudes. A recent thread "are cheap chickens chic" or something like that, I contributed with my oppinion and I felt nothing but beaten down and almost bullied by the comments aimed at me. After a while of taking it in my stride I lost my cool and found myself being just as horrible as some folk there.
From now on I'm staying away from threads where folk beat down on people who claim benefits. If I need to be told one more time that I'm lazy, work shy, not deserving, a drain on society ect I'll scream. Then if that isn't bad enough I've had people tell me I'm a scrounger and in debt because aparently I spend all my benefit money on drink, fags and drugs!
DFW is certainly where my heart lies on this website.Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:
This time I'm on top of it! We live and learn :coffee:0 -

That's exactly what I do......0 -
I spend virtually all my time on MSE here, but do visit other places such as:
- Old Style - especially when wanting to try some new. In the food line...

- Freebies
- Grab it - just to see if there's anything worth grabbing
- Shop but don't drop - for similar reasons
Not terribly exciting - but there you go."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 - Old Style - especially when wanting to try some new. In the food line...

Well despite being debt-free anyway, I love hanging out here because some of the tips and tricks the DFW's share are amazing and the banter is second to none.
I also check the Old Style boards (for frugal living tips), the Freebies/Discount Codes & Vouchers/Grabbit While You Can boards for ways to cut my socialising costs, and more recently the Up Your Income board (see signature for reason).
The whole site kicks butt, I've never known so much valuable advice in one place before!0 -
I've been loitering around the Old Style boards and i can see the attraction, didn't post so far, but might if i had anything to contribute! Trouble is they are so knowledgeable!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
