Options
I have found this website and thought it may be useful, I hope it works as I am always forgetting to check and clean the little things on my appliances - until its too late and it breaks.

:staradminFree Dyson Filter wash reminder:staradmin
All Dyson vacuums cleaners have filters that need to be washed on a regular basis to maintain your Dyson's peak performance, helping it to last a bit longer.

Ive found this quick and easy service that Dyson are offering on their website.

'Just wash your filters today and then go to this website:-
http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/filter.asp

click 'Register' and fill in your details and they will send you an email in just under six months to remind you that your filter needs to be washed.':T

I have just registered myself today, so cannot confirm if this works, but will try and remember this post and leave feedback around July.

Many Thanks for reading.:)

  • Thanks for the tip. I just have to work out how to wash mine now as our Dyson is about 2 years old and I've never cleaned the filter!

I suppose it depends on how much you use the Dyson too. I like Dysons they have a very good after sale service, its worth paying that bit more for one.

I noticed in paper today that they are doing smaller Dysons as many people now live in small houses/flats what next one for the shed?

.....on the Dyson Website, as Im sure I saw something to do with "How to clean a filter" on there when I was looking earlier.
(I think you can click on 'Home' or something similar after you register, )

I was trying to find out how to un-block all those holes inside the dyson
( the cylinder i think its called:confused: )
as somehow we have hoovered up something wet. And although it has dried out, the holes are all dirty/blocked with hard dust and it takes ages trying to clean with something small and miniture. (Cotton buds are too big!!)
