THanks Debt Free Chick, my PC won't let me open the link, would you kindly cut and paste onto a reply????!!!!! Also, the letter from Debt Managers Ltd has no reference to when the date of the debt was, only a reference number, so if i tell them to sod off cos the debts too old are we acknowledging the debt??!! Thanks again!!
p.s i'm not easily threatened but better make sure the kids don't open the door and let in Mr Stranger wanting money!!!!0 -
As long as you put on your letter i do not acknowledge his debt to your company you are not admitting the debt.Night Owl Member No 1 :rotfl: :rotfl:

Bollox - the link don't work, does it? :rotfl:
Try this one. Then click on the link at the end. Also, the letter from Debt Managers Ltd has no reference to when the date of the debt was, only a reference number, so if i tell them to sod off cos the debts too old are we acknowledging the debt??!! Thanks again!!
the link to that letter does not admit that you owe the debt. Indeed, it refutes any debt at all, based on the assumption that the lender is completely "out of time". They only have six years to "file a claim". After that, they are barred, in law, from taking any action at all. :Tp.s i'm not easily threatened but better make sure the kids don't open the door and let in Mr Stranger wanting money!!!!
Good move, but don't worry too much. Once you send the letter, I think you'll find they'll go away

We had a letter this morning from Debt Managers saying they have returned the file to Aktiv Kapital and they will be taking no further action!
No doubt Aktiv Kapital will be trying their luck again......0 -
AK are well known for buying out of date debt.
Whether Debt Managers are allowed to send the debt back to them depends on the relationship between the two. I have some sort of recollection that Debt Managers may be part of the same company or group of companies.
Most likely you will hear nothing, but if AK get in touch just send the same letter and then demand confirmation that they have removed all reference to you from their files. If that is not forthcoming, set the Information Commissioner on them.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
our old friends again - try a seach on them both.
Are you in sctland as you need a different letter.
