Hi I am looking for an Inkjet printer for my daughter who has around £100 to spend on a printer. She doesn't want it to be a 3 in 1 just a printer with seperate CMYK ink cartridges, as she needs printouts to be affordable as it is for posters etc... for the childrens group she runs. So it won't be for photo's or anything that needs to be top quality.
Cheers.
Cheers.

There have been several threads on this lately. The Canon IP 1500 or 3000 seems to be a firm favourite. It has a good print quality and cheap ink. They seem to go from between £39 for 1500 and £65 for 3000.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

The Cannon IP3000 is a great printer in fact its the best I have had. I print out my photos from my digi camera on the proper photo glossy paper and the results are the same as if it was from a photo lab.
It takes 4 cartridges and the originals can be bought for approx £6 each or you can use compatibles which cost around £2 each.
The printer itself cost me £79 from amazon but do shop around, you can find the reviews in it form ebuyer and it is rated 5 stars.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
Just to add, I love my new Canon Pixma 1500. It cost £39.50 inc delivery from Pixmania (who did manage to send me a French powercord  ) but doesn't have separate CMY cartridges......but when the replacements are only £2 each, who cares?
The photo quality is brilliant."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
The Epson R300 is a good all round printer, not only prints stunning photo's, but documents, and will print onto dvd's/CD's.
Its also very cheap to run. Since Last August I have only used 3 full sets on inks and use it everyday. The inks are cheap providing you use unbranded of around 80p to £1.50 per ink, so a full set would be around £6 to £8, considering like all original inks they can cost in access of £15 each for one alone.
Cost £100 for R300 and £60-£70 for R200 difference being R300 has a media card reader
