I've been down with gastro, a cold and sinusitis all in the same week ... am eating, but still feel like a wet dishrag.
Any suggestions for boosting my energy and helping my recovery, or is it just a matter of giving it time?

if you are clear of the cold & sinusitus then maybe some live yoghurt or those 'good bacteria' yoghurt drinks, these will help restore the balance in your tummy after the gastro. Try to eat plenty of fresh fruit & veg but keep anything you have easy to digest to help your body rest.
If you are still bunged up from the cold avoid dairy products for a while till thats clear, & in either case avoid fatty stodgy foods. Soups can be nice simple healthy foods which maybe more appetising if your appetite has been knocked for six!I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -
Home made soups are filling and light to digest when sometimes you don't feel like eating big meals. Just keep up the fluid and vitamin C intake and have lots of early nights. Your body will tell you when it starts to feel better. Until then, don't overload it with too much carbohydrates, which can tend of make you feel rather "heavy"..0

I think it comes down to "what you fancy, little and often". At least you are eating. If I was ever ill and lost my appetite, my "ex-wife-to-be" always reckoned that it was time to check where the life insurance documents were filed. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

My Doc told me that dried apricots were great for boosting your immume system cos they're full of vitamin C, it'd be wise to try and safeguard yourself against future attacks.0
