Hello,
On the carpetright website it mentions something about a voucher in the national press for 20% off on top of their sale prices......Does anyone know where this voucher is printed, or has seen one, or has one that they can forward me?????
Many Thanks

There was apparently a voucher printed in the News of The World a couple of months back. We only found out about it when we paid for our carpets over the phone and the agent offered to go and buy the paper to get a coupon. I'm not sure if he did physically get the coupon or just gave the discount, but we werre given a £120 discount of £1000 of carpets :j. Might be worth checking again at the weekend to see if anything is still running.:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:0

Hi....we bought our lounge/conservatory carpets from Carpetright a few weeks ago and the salesman advised us to buy either the Daily Express or the Sun on that Saturday (which we did). When we went in later that day to order he had actually bought the paper himself for the coupon in case we had not been able to get it .
Lots of savings made....50% off for the sale and then another 20% off.. :T
I have bought all my carpets over the years from them and have always been very pleased

Not knocking the coupons, but it is obviously a way of drumming up sales since laminate flooring is becoming cheap and trendy to have instead. Considering Bristol is large city most places sell laminate floor and there are only a few carpet sellers left.:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:0

make sure you buy the door edges, underlay and gripper rods yourself..... carpet right over charge by 3 times the price of B & Q............smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Hi All,
IIRC there was a 10% off vouhcer in todays Daily Star, cost 25p (well, in the Liverpool area, think its on offer, normal price is 35p!). Didn't look at which page it was on, just saw it in the shop!
Cheers

anybody know if there are any more 20% newspaper coupons coming up soon. Looking to spend £1000 on carpet so would be very useful.
Thanks0 -
You dont need any vouchers , the promotions change every tuesday night and whatever the deal is that week applys. The idea of the " vouchers " is just to attract people in , staff are told to give the discounts anyway.Your best sale is the 50% plus 10% sale( how they put this to you is up to them ). They have the madness sale every three months ( one a month ago) where there is always 50% off and usually the biggest " discounts " are given then. However they are desperate for sales so just check every Wednesday and you might get some good buys - if you dont see anything one week you will the next. Also dont get your underlay, door bars from them as these are VERY inflated in price.
If you want get them to measure up( as I suspect you might have a fair size needed ) and then the salesman will be chasing you up everytime the promotion changes trying to get you to buy , just depends if you can put up with the phonecalls!0 -
We got ours from carpetright and the salesman added the bank holiday bonus to it 70% off. Got our own guy to fit them very good quality cost about £330 for stairs, landing and spare bedroom.0

I suspect they already factor in the discount promotions within their prices.
Just blag it - say you had a coupon from a newspaper but have forgotten to bring it. They are not likely to miss out on a £1000 sale by refusing you the discount.0 -
Do they charge for delivery?0
