Littlewoods debt, advice needed !

HI all, I owe approx. £480 to littlewoods.

I had `stupidly` put things on buy now pay later terms last Xmas, and now they are all due. My minimum payment is now approx £34 a month.

I have other debts to which take priority over littlewoods. I am able to pay littlewoods £15 a month but am unsure about how to go about speaking to them about this, who to contact and what to say !!

Advice would be much appreciated !!

look at the links at the top of this thread, there is one for the national debtline, one for CCCS and CAB.

If you look on their websites you'll find example letters.

Actually - here is the link to the CAB versions,

    Hope that helps.

    Good luck

ps is there any way you can cut down other expenditures to *gain* this money??
  • If you call Littlewoods they will transfer you to a department called TCU (telephone collections unit) it's really not as bad as it sounds. As long as you tell them the situation and agree to pay a set amount each month, they will just set you up with a payment plan and as long as you stick to it wont effect your future credit rating. I've just stopped working for them in their call centre as I moved so I know how these things work.
