  • We will get beneift one day lol its taken a very long long time . besause of his work not sending pay slips .Things are looking up tho they were sent out and we gave then in yesterday so the claim is about to go ahead BUT !!!

No het this to top it all off ...

Because it has all taken so long ive worked out that in about a week to 10 days we will get backdated benifit WAHOOO well so you would think BUT NO

In 2 weeks time he will no longer be able to claim that benifit as he would have been off sick 26ish weeks at that point . we then have to go through all this again to claim incapacity.

So the backdated money i was going to use to pay off some debt ...will be our only income for weeks as the sick pay will stop and so will the benifit

    How unfair is that .

Im going to be honest i can see why ppl commit suicide over being in debt .

Just seems once your down everyone puts the boot in . Its hard to see a way out.

  • You sound great. You are doing the right things by making sure you are trying to eat as best you can and look after your son. But I really think you need professional help- you can't pay the bils until you get more income so you need to get that sorted first. Hugs. I'm sure the council/CAB etc will help you. All the best.

In capacity benefit applying should be routine now you have the pay slips, don't get down about it, the system can be as a-ss but it does eventually work!
  • I cant claim free dinners till we have a letter stating we are getting benifit . see my point .... its all rolled in together and because we are in a loop hole of my partner still having a job and not being on the doll and to make things worse his work not sending payslips for 20 odd weeks ( they need thm to even start a claim ) its made the whole thing very hard work

  • I would use the backdated money to live on until the other benefits are sorted out. It's comendable to want to pay back your debts - but you need to eat. Everything is sortable - yes it's a horrible situation to be in - but you will get there. One thing at a time. I wouldn't worry about what will or won't happen in 2 weeks as you need ot concentrate on the here and now. Please get some help as it can all be sorted out. I promise, I have seen so many people turn their lives around. Phone CCCS and the council.
