I've just got a DVD writer but it comes with no software. I want to use it to back up some DVDs but I don't know which software to use! Can anybody suggest some and where I can get it from?

search on google for dvd decrypter...then you need to use dvd shrink as the the full film do not fit on a standard dvd disc...finally use search for ha! cd burner manager to burn...or dvd to one if you dont want the menus...these are the basic details....if you follow these steps I m sure you can work it out...use a dvd (- or + pending your writer) rw first to test...hope this helps.0

I concur
1. dvd decrypter
2. dvd shrink
also nero is probably worth getting hold of. And also use VSO DivxToDVD sometimes for strange things like recorded TV programs0
