Returned iPods at John Lewis

I've just been to my local John Lewis (Southampton) to purchase an iPod Nano with some vouchers I got for Christmas :p and to my delight they are currently selling off ones that have been returned after Xmas at great prices.

I got a blue Nano 8gb for £109 (should have been £129). Apparently if they're returned and have been opened, they honoud there returns policy, but can't (or don't) sell on the ear phones for hygiene reasons. Anyway, not a problem to me as I already have earphones and am thrilled with my bargain.

They had other 8gb for similar prices in all colours and a few 4gb around the £84 mark.

Hope that's useful to someone:j .

  • At the risk of seeming like a killjoy, surely something that has an RRP of £129 being sold 'used' & without the quality apple headphones (that must at least be worth £15 themselves) for £109 is hardly a grabbit.

I got a 8Gb 3rd Gen Ipod from La Redoute in November for £69 including headphones...... aye, now that was a Grabbit!

That's exactly what I was thinking when reading the "offer"

You can buy a brand new one from their website, use the current £20 off discount code, and get it for the same price as the returned one without headphones! x
    Gone ... or have I?
  • Oh well, it seemed a good offer to me and I did have John Lewis vouchers so would have had to pay cash anywhere else......:o

iPod headphones are rubbish. I don't know how they get away with selling them at such an extortionate price.

The Apple headphones are pretty poor, and in places like London they're not known as 'Mugger's Magnets' for nothing...

as someone mentioned when I posted about john lewis vouchers, you can use them online as well. so you could have gotten the 20£ off and used your vouchers to get a new one.

Please could someone point me in the right direction for this £20 off voucher for John Lewis? I couldn't see it in the voucher forum.

    Many thanks!
