Woolworths Braehead Closing Down

Noticed a sign up in Woolworths Braehead today. They are closing on 26th January.
Anyone heard anything about this?

That shop always sees really busy when I have been in. Big unit to fill too! Wonder if they will have a good sale.....

went in today :rolleyes: nothing on sale that is cheaper than l can get at my local woolworths..................:mad: to be honest l am sure some off there prices on sale items are more than l would pay at our local woolworths:mad: not many people in:rotfl: there where all in boots getting 75% off :rotfl: l could see them from the shop door :T

probly cos woolworths only make money at Xmas (according to BBC Scotland) and I honestly cant remeber the last time I went into a woolworths....shame really, cos woolies was always THE place to go when i was a teen in the 70's........can anyone else remeber their make up counter. i remember buying .....rouge....and even remeber the wee box it came in, and it was the first time Id seen pick n mix,

I don't even think there is a woolies at silverburn.

My MiL spends loads in woolies - their home stuff is pretty reasonable, although when Ikea is there it maybe not do too well.

I'm glad it's not too good cos it'll save me on petrol

Woolworths Braehead. New Look are taking over their store. Woolworths Stores are in terminal decline countrywide.

my friend works in the luton store and they were all told on friday that it is closing at the end of march.

sorry new to this didn't realise i was under scotland - came to this forum via google search about woolworths closing - luton store 30 miles north of london.
