Have sold an xbox 360 on ebay for £400 and the buyer paid, i gave him the tracking reference number and now he placed the money on hold by opening a dispute! This was all done this morning he paid at 11 i posted at 1130 in good faith and got a tracking reference number, i really dont know what more i can do about this and obviously now very upset! He has suddenly stopped responding to my emails and have phoned paypal to make sure that i have given the correct tracking reference, where do i stand with this?!
Thanks guys!!

I didn't think you could open a dispute for 7 days after the sale. Are you sure its a genuine paypal email?0

Are you sure its a dispute and not paypal holding the money because of fraudulent card etc?
If you posted at 11.30 there may be a chance the post office still has your parcel. Print off a copy of the email and go and explain to them. You may be able to retrieve it.0 -

Depends on the P.O to be fair. My local one has known me for years and has let me have a parcel back once. If O.P knows the owner well it may be possible. very slim chance, but worth a shot for the sake of losing the money and the XBox.0 -
Special delivery slips are scanned at the counter, I doubt if it can be removed from the system now.0

Dont know, my last experience was a few years ago. If fraud is involved though couldnt they withhold the parcel at the P.O?0 -
OP - I haven't tried this, but it's better than doing nothing!
''IF YOU HAVE ALREADY POSTED THE ITEM
If you posted it within the last 24 hours go your local police with evidence of the transaction printed out. Ask them to complete a Regulatory Investigation Powers Act form and fax it to Royal Mail security. This gives Royal Mail the authority to return the item to you if it is still in the UK.''My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
