Natwest Step account and CTC

I have just tried to change my payment details to my new Step account with Natwest, but Tax Credits won't let me - because its not a "proper" Bank Account its not on their system.....

Anyone else have this issue and how do you get round it? I don't really want a Post Office account - I want everything in one place.

Curiouser and curioser as Alice said.

Phoned CB and they have taken the details gladly and even offered to pass the new payment details onto CTC!!!!

Well, will wait and see what happens next.

I get my tax credits into my step-account dla,cb,carers allowance and ALG!

I get mine paid into my step account, no probs setting it up

And me too before I asked for it to go in hubbys account so (like you say) everything is in one place! No problems with mine....phone them back and let them know you know for a fact they pay in the Step account.
