I've just spoken to one of MoT's twins (MoT was driving).

Apparently, none of the evidence about her health (physical or mental) was taken into account.
MoT will find out whether she can appeal when she's spoken to her solicitor, any appeal must be on a point of law.
She is also now aware of the donations everyone is offering.

I'm not sure if she will be posting tonight or not, but I've told her she's got loads of good wishes to read on here.

P.S. SaffronFlowers & Ampersand were the embodiement of DFW for us today - so we were all there in body as well as in spirit!

I keep looking at the thread hoping I have misread it somehow as the decision beggars belief!

I am beyond shocked and disgusted.

I do not think that highly of our own council but compared to "that lot" they are giants among men.

Looking forward to the new thread in the hope that something can be done for this family.

Hi - After seeing a link on the Bargain Buys board linking to MOT's thread I spent last night and this morning reading through the lengthy thread regarding MOT & her twins. I cannot really put into words how I am feeling at what MOT & her family have had to go through it really is appaling.

When I went to bed last night I felt sick & selfish, I had spend most of yesterday evening reading through all the bargain buys and sassy shopping threads hoping to get a bargain somewhere or another, when someone like MOT was going through this hell.

A Great big thanks to people like you Floss2 and SaffronFlowers, I_T & Ampersand for all the kind support that you have so obviously provided for MOT & her children during the last few months. All of this must have taken a toll on your health too. It people like you who make us realise that there are some decent human beings out there in this mad world who are willing to reach out a helping hand, asking nothing in return. You are all wonderful people and I am sure that MOT & her children are very grateful for all the help and support that you have shown and given to her.

I can only reiterate what other kind people have also said on this matter. Great big hugs to you MOT & your children - we are here if you need us. If we can be of any help even if its just a shoulder to lean - let us know we are only a message away.

There are ways in which we can collectively still support MOT, not least by just being here (albeight online) for her and her family.

Like everyone else on MSE I was very sad and upset to hear about the outcome of MOT's appeal. Even now I can't get my head around the fact that Decorum Council will be throwing a women and her two children out onto the streets come Monday:mad: Is this what Britain has come to?

MOT, IT, SF, Floss and the rest of the MSE comunity I commended you all on the support and dignity you have all shown in trying to help MOT and her kids. Never mind that a lot of time, research in fighting her case on its Merits and Points of Fact has been totally ignored by this Council, you can ALL hold our heads up high in the knowledge that we believe in fighting to protect the underdogs when they come here for help, something that I hope Dacorum Council and its HO will take notes of and learn lessons from.

MOT, the fight not done !!! Get ready for the next round, we're all behind you:T :T :T
