12v 10 watts Bulb needed for night-light please?

Options
Hi Everyone,

Hope you can help...

Several months ago I purchased a gorgeous night-light from Ebay. The bulb died a few days ago and I cannot for the life of me find a replacement anywhere! Tried every electrical shop in town, local city and everywhere else.

It takes a 12 volt 10 watts bulb. Anyone know where I can get one as the night-light is now useless without a bulb

go down your local biggest halfords store.
if you go into electrical stores or retailers like B&Q or homebase, they only cater for bulbs which are 240v-3pin plug.

as you say, the one your looking for is 12v and so are car battery bulbs.
but, when you go into your halfords store, i dont quite think you'l find the bulb in the car bulbs section, ask them where there section is where they sell electrical extension leads, house bulbs, telephone cables.

you'll find a range of bulbs here aswel and they will either be 240V or 12V bulbs in this section, where they have bulbs for lamps, those long florescent tube'd bulbs etc.

    have a look,

    Skiddy

    Thanks Skiddy,

There is a very big Halfords in the next town to me, so I shall go there tomorrow and ask them like you suggest.

    Thanks for your help :j

A camping/caravan shop might be able to help....
There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't

In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice

Ebulbshop - if you can't find exactly what you're looking for, email them and they will very quickly add it to their catalogue! Free P&P for orders over £25 before VAT, so worth stocking up on general supplies. Brilliant customer service if you can't find what you want at Halfords.
