Working for part of the year- Is it still a qualifying year?

Hi
For the tax years, 2001-2002, 2003-04, 05-06, I have only worked part of the year. I have still earned over the qualifying amount in total.

Is this still a 'qualifying year' for me, as the HMRC like to break the LEL down into weekly amounts. So do you actually need to be earning each week/ month for it to qualify.
In 2001-02 I worked from Oct to the end of the FY. I was in an occupational schemce and thus contracted out of SERPS. However I left the company and had my cintributions refunded and the company paid to put me back in the state scheme. So my question is, am I likely to have any SERPS at all, as I know it finished at the end of the above FY. I would have earned about £8200 gross in the above period.
Thank you in advance to those clever enough to answer these!
