Goats cheese substitute

Good evening all :)

Just a quickie.....

Before christmas I had a really nice meal out, it was pasta tagiletelle (sp) with pesto, pinenuts, sundried tomatos and goats cheese. mmmmmm

Anyway as I am now starting my healthy eating again I wondered if i could make the same thing (low fat pesto) but instead f goats cheese which is a soft cheese whether cream cheese would be as good (and cheaper :o )

I'm sure it would be fine Samiboo but you could also try creme fraiche (half fat) or feta. ;)
By the way....Pine nuts are VERY expensive but Julian graves sell them cheaper in bulk and Aldi have them on offer atm for £1.49.

There's no substitute for goats cheese! It's about half the fat of normal cheese anyway. If you want the tangyness, use feta (but check the packet as a lot of cheeses in the supermarket use cows milk and not goat's and sheeps cheese) - or you could use this feta if it's all you can get (I can't have cow's milk!) and use a little of that.
