Scum around sink

I have ceramic sinks and no matter how hard or often I clean them I always seem to get a thick greasy white scum around them. Does anyone know of a good way to get rid of it?

Try Starclens, as it has ammonia in it. I would be fairly wary of some of the abrasive type cleaners, as you are likely to be scratching the surface of the sink, and thus making the problem worse. Starclens is a liquid and seems to be quite potent.
