I need anti-aging eye cream - help!!

Options
Hi

I've taken a good hard look at myself in the mirror and have concluded that I need to start using eye cream!!
Any suggestions on a decent one at a reasonable price (no more than £25)?
Thanks

  • I am a big fan of Origins products (available in Debenhams and John Lewis). I haven't specificallly tried their eye creams but everything else I have had has been excellent quality and made my skin feel lovely. I am currently using their "Have a nice day" face moistursier which is wonderful and packed full of vitamins as well as being SPF15. You can check out their products at https://www.origins.com

My mother loves the Revival range from M&S. Their firming eye gel is certain to be cheaper than Origins at £12. My sister (who works at M&S) tells me this range was formulated in conjunction with Chanel, so can't be bad!

    Hi

Just read your post with interest, may I make a suggestion? Don't bother buying an over-priced, over-marketed, manufactured with certain unsavoury chemicals etc. eye-cream....make your own with aromatherapy oils, one that works! I am an aromatherapist and I make all my own skin care. I am told by everyone that I look 10 - 15 years younger than I am :D and the other day in a co-op I was asked by the assistant if I was over 21? (I was trying to buy ibuprofen!) I am actually 41 and she made my day! :j :j :j

Natural aromatherapy oils work naturally on the skin to renew the cells and brighten the complexion. They are used in small quantities in a lot of over-the-counter skin care and sadly, are used in such small quantities they rarely offer much benefit. They are expensive to use for manufacturers, who prefer to use cheaper, harsher chemicals etc. The skin under the eyes is very sensitive and can be made weaker and thinner by using some shop bought items, especially so called 'anti-aging' ones.

All you need to buy are some basic oils (good quality!) and some mixer base oils. I can supply you with a 'recipe' should you wish to try this. You can make a large bottle of 'very special' anti-ageing eye oil for a fraction of the cost of shop bought rubbish and it will work! You will reduce fine lines and wrinkles, look younger and feel great!

Next time you are in your local shopping centre, go to all of the counters (Lancome, Decleor, Clinique, Clarins, Estee Lauder, Body Shop, Lush etc etc) and ask for eye cream samples. Tell them that your skin can be sensitive, so you need to test any products before you buy. If you get a nice assistant, then they'll be happy to throw some samples your way. (Tip, don't go on a Saturday!)

Also, email Avon and ask for some samples (seriously!) tell them that you are unsure what products would be suitable, last time I did this, they sent me 24 sachets of cream! You can contact them directly from their website!

I have a very nice small tube from the Body Shop and it certainly didn't cost £25! I think it's the vitamin E one, gives a nice reflection off my eyes as well.
