Why does a razor need 5 blades?

Do you remember the first ads that came out for twin bladed razors, way back when? The second blade was there to cut flush to the skin.

You do get a good shave with a Gillette Fusion. I don't seem to cut myself shaving nearly as much as I used to.

    Marketing perhaps?

I hate shaving, the 2 blade ones last one or two shaves at most but the Fusion last for weeks, in the end a little more expensive but a 100% better shave.

Be aware if you get them from ebay, someone pointed out on here before christmas that the bought some and got fakes.

So when are we going to get 6 bladed razors, then 7 then 8?
    .....

  • ive tried all sorts , and up until recently used the mach 3's. But these Fusions are really good, they dont clog like the wilkinson quatros and give a really smooth shave.
No stock in my tesco at gillingham.
  • There's nothing better than a gillette fusion in my opinion.

That's one of the worst things you can ever do to a man - use and blunt his razor so next time he shaves he will get cut to ribbons!
