i spent ages trying to get off 5p tracks and earn my 3rd star lol... another target to reach now! Still not bad i personally don't think... Should sort out the good from the bad

Yeah, quite happy with those actually.

As i said over there, we'll see who throws a hissy fit and "retires" now .. I have one person in mind who i think will do just that

I wont retire, but I wont spend as much time doing it now.

I will also make less of an effort with the spread, as I have been happily maintaining 3 star status, but struggling to keep hold of 4 for extended periods, I'll just settle for 2 as the difference between 2 and 3 stars wont kill me.

I'm a little disappointed that they havent included a voucher payment at all star levels in addition to the cash payment. But I guess that would limit the actual cash being invested too.

as i've said for ages, the perfect solution would be fixed scout payments at 7 or 8p a song, with the same again being paid in vouchers.

everyone getting the same amount, but also having the same amount again to invest - it would encourage more casual investing.

i must quickly add. i was looking in the stp forums... ( yes i do jason honest lol) and was reading some of the artists reviews.. i was horrified to see some scouts are literally leaving things like..." yeah i liked this track banging tune made me smile good work!" and getting away with it!

I think it will enough more people to invest in artists to be quite honest, I think what STP has done is adequate as they havent stopped payments altogether and they are trying to keep everyone happy, they too have to make a profit and if they kept the payments as how they were it would be very difficult to hit any targets.

I haven't been on STP recently, but i may try to get a few tracks reviewed this evening, hopefully I can be able to review the hip hop/rap tracks and not worry about decreasing my rating!

Its that sort of thing that annoys the hell out of me, I may not (I definitely don't) write the most amazing reviews, but I give feedback on as many aspects of a track as I can, whether good or bad, in fact have found that my reviews have kind of increased in length to nearer 7 lines on average

Is there any reason why they changed the payment system during a month? It would make more sense, imo, to announce it, then bring it in at the end/start of a month instead.

To be honest, because they don't have set payment dates I have no problem with this. If they has said from the end of the month, it is highly likely they would receive an even bigger influx of reviews with people trying to grab the cash, and a fair sized percentage of them would be substandard.
