Can I refer you to the SlicethePie sticky on this board (up your income) - it contains some really good tips on what to include in your reviews and some other stuff mostly composed by MissPixie (No1 scout). Also if you look back in this thread - towards the beginning and the other one about setting the montly target there are a few people who were brave and kind enough to put up a few of their reviews.

Hope it helps - certainly did me.

    I'm not sure! LOL

I always mention what type of music i think it is ie, rap, hip hop, rock etc, I say if I liked it or not, if it was good to listen to and how it made me feel relaxed etc.

I always mention the vocals and if they complimented the music and I also try to mention the instruments used ie, loved the intro with the guitar solo and when the drums kicked in great! that sort of thing.

I didnt do anything special just gave my honest opinion, and to be honest some of them are not good and quite scary! but there are the odd ones which are pretty good!

Evening, been at it on and off all day, My brain just stops coming up with any thing remotely constructive if I do more than 10 at a time. And to be honest, I'd hate to be flippant.

Found a few great dance tracks and I'm a Robbie Williams kind of girl that has prodigy's firestarter hidden in her record collection, and loves Iron Maidens 666 number of the beast - through to Il Divo..I know strange.

On the stars thing, I made 2 stars at 30 tracks and 3 stars at 100, just about to hit my first tenner.

I'd actually like to invest in some of this stuff past the showcase and into the trading level, but somebody stop me because I've signed up for a few challenges on the DFW board.

  • Frugal jo i want to invest and buy some backstage passes because its just £5.00 i think i'll probably do it from february once i've learnt a bit more about it

Jamie george won on the showcase (shared with someone else) and because i voted for him in the showcase i got a free backstage pass for him which is cool i think it means i get a copy of the album when its been produced

Thanks, I think there are some wise investments to be made on this and most of my tips are way out of my usual listening habits, so I think I'll take your advice, keep my eyes peeled and take it seriously. Nothing to loose if I do it your way :)
