Anyone heard the Show Me Heaven cover yet? Why bother? It's just like choosing to cover a Whitney song, you're not gonna make it sound any good so why bother

I don't normally come into this thread, but for some reason I was drawn to it just now. Must have been your post.

I think you mean "You are not going to make it better than the original"

With cover versions it is always the one you know that is the best. I was born in 1959 and the 70's was my era for music. It had many songs that were later covered and I always think "the original" was the best. But, I have since found, is what I mean is "the version I knew was the best" Many of the 70's songs that were covered later were actually covers of songs that were sung in the 60's and even the 50's.

But I still think the versions I knew are the best.

I don't know about the song you mention, if may be rubbish for all I know, but if it was released as a single a generation would grow up thinking it's the best version.

That's how cover versions work, each generation has it's own "favorite" version. This is especially true for new bands, you don't know if the public are going to like them or not, so you give them an old song to sing and at least you are half way there. You know the public will like the song.

Im only a 2 star scout, and get 5p per track, this means if i review on notepad before the song is finished and do this for an hour.. Il earn £3.. so its not actually that bad!

Which is still alot less than minimum wage. You will also have to deduct the incurred electric costs.

I acknowledge that it's a more enjoyable way to earn a bit extra but in my opinion a waste of time & effort.

Good luck to you all though. Think of me if you make a million :D

As you are reviewing if there are any you really like, add them to your watchlist. Then go into your watchlist and it allows you to use the tips there.

I am not sure on this one, I believe it has to do with your accuracy percentage score, I got mine after 100 songs have now got three stars and aiming for fourth but you need to have 89.5% accuracy and I very between 88.8 and 88.96 and have reviewed 2299 songs.

I haven't had any trouble today, though from some of the tracks I listened to I thought there was a sound problem, but it appears that was the way the track was supposed to sound
