I had just found SLice The Pie yesterday, and I had been enjoying allowing my inner journalist come out to review each track as I saw fit (and I almost went down that career path!). Of Course I was enjoying it, so they have to shut down the scout room don't they?! Still Whilst I may not be able to earn my 2p per song there, I'm going to enjoy the Showcase instead!

From a newbie though - does the shutting of the Scout Room happen alot?

Duno really allgen2 finished early so there was a big wait but i dont know if allgen3 ran to schedule. Normally it would a week but atm its anyone's guess. Should not be longer than 2 weeks though, max.

i would say that if the room is reverting to how it used to be then the wait will be a few days-at the minute though its anyones guess :rolleyes:

and yes it happens a lot, everytime a room closes theres a gap between when the previous room closes and a new one opens

Hi, I have reviewed about 1300 tracks and have an accuracy of 89.0% . Now the showcase for all genres 3 has been released, I have tipped 7 out of the 10 acts, does anyone know whether this will push my 3 stars up to 4?
I think when the next room opens I will be able to get accuracy up further as I have realised that now I have started writing even longer reviews, my accuracy is creeping up and up,

I am a little annoyed to find the scout room shut as I did not get round to using up all my tips!!!! I had 40 or so and used only 4 or so when I heard rumour that the room maybe closing. I assume the tips do not roll over ??? Bit narked as some of the artists in the showcase are ones I would of tipped as I gave them 9/10 etc.
SliveThePie should have a eadier interface for tipping artists as took me ages last night to get around and tup 4 artists.

Anyhow hope my earned tips are not wasted though if they are then let it be a lesson learned that you should use them up.

.... Note on what the other poster said about accuracy and I though accuracy was soley dependent on the rating given not the length of the review. My accuracy is sitting at 88.7% on 501tracks!!! So may be too far away from 4star now.

Tipping bands who make the showcase doesnt help your star rating (as far as I know), and I don't think writing longer reviews helps your accuracy either, but its a strange system so again I could be wrong...

I didnt realise the scoutroom was near to closing and I've lost all of my tips

I have just checked on facebook my scout profile which shows 0 tips!!!!! Looks like I have lost 40 tips!!!!

MissPixieRock .... I would put in your guide to recommend that you advise STP users to use up their tips every thime they get say 5 of them as I had little warning of the scout room closing down so I ran out of time trying to use up the tips.
