Guys I have a problem ..... Like alot of you in here it seems rap music is a curse to all!! I tend to write short reviews for rap sayig basically I hate rap and this is rubbish etc but I then give a "neutral rating" of 5/10 instead of what I feel as I would give all rap tracks between 1-4 probably. Should I carry on with this neutral rating policy for rap or should I go for what I feel. I do not know how this will effect my accuracy as last time I looked it was 86.29% !!!

I'd not say in any review that I hate that type of music....as it shows your review is pointless, you have to go into the song with an open mind, if it is bad rap then say so, if you hate the track fair enough, say so but say why, and it cant be because you hate the whole genre! There is no point in you reveiwing it if you hate it before you even hear it.

rate it on how good you think it is compared to the rest of its style of music, ie how good a rap it is....hard if you hate all rap, but c'mon not ALLLL rap can be bad! Some of them do have talent....if you give them a chance.

That's my advice anyway. Either that or just dont review rap.

Just checked my accuracy which stands now at 88% do I need 90% plus for 4 star status? I am still 600 stracks away from 4star anyway.

i think you do need 90% for 4 stars
I have done 1200 tracks with an 89% accuracy but still only 3*

I'm not sure about that either, I'm in about the same state as you although my accuracy is varies between 90-91 (for yours id suggest not a constant 5 for raps, I don't know a lot about rap so listen and rate mainly on the lyrics-if they are !!!!!!/offensive then I vote low, if they are orignal/make a nice point/make some sort of sense I vote 5/6 if I actually find myself liking it then I'll give it higher...... 88% though is a good accuracy definately! I'dnot worry about that too much, as at the end of the day you can only be honest, I'd not try and work it too much, if you don't think a band deserves a high mark don't give it to them, the whole point is to try and get the bands you think deserve it the rewards they deserve

I had a problem earlier where my reviews weren't registering, I wrote a really long review for a song I loved too.

Thankyou for all who replied to me. I failed to say that I have already reviewed over 200 tracks with 90% accuracy so I dont know. My accuracy is falling in this scout room a bit though 89.56%? Will those 3 stars ever be mine??
