THAT '70s SHOW

Step Back In Time With Yesteryear's Teenage Clique...

DVD RELEASED BY TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX HOME ENTERTAINMENT

Monday 21 January 2008

Hollywood sensations Ashton Kutcher and Topher Grace are joined by guest star Lindsay Lohan as they reprise their roles in the seventh season of hit US sitcom THAT '70s SHOW, available to own for the for the first time on DVD on Monday 21 January 2008, courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

From the creators of Third Rock from the Sun, notable story arcs this season include the exits of both Kutcher (Punk'd, The Butterfly Effect, A Lot Like Love) and Grace's (Ocean's 11, Traffic, Spiderman 3) popular characters while Lohan makes a surprise cameo under the guise of a new attraction for series stalwart Fez (Wilmer Valderrama).

Grace's departure draws to a close the ongoing double act between Eric Forman (Grace) and his next door neighbour turned teenage sweetheart Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon). Kutcher's character, the loveable yet lacklustre ladies man Michael Kelso, is also facing fresh challenges as he attempts to get to grips with parenthood, a struggle that spells the return of an old cast favourite in the shape of aging hippie Leo Chingkwake (Tommy Chong).

Famed for frequent celebrity cameos, THAT '70s SHOW Season Seven delivers a trio of Tinsletown favourites; alongside Lindsay Lohan, there are special appearances from Eliza Dushku (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Ugly Betty) - as a deceitful and ruthless radio station intern - and legendary actress and model Brooke Shields.

Other hilarious storylines include Fez and Kelso becoming room mates, Steven Hyde (Danny Masterson) coming face to face with his biological father, and Eric's father Red (Kurtwood Smith) proposing an unusual solution to his financial woes. The dream sequences and split screen scenarios that have become familiar to fans of the sitcom also make a welcome comeback.

Credited for catapulting several of its biggest stars into high profile feature film careers, most notably Kutcher, THAT '70s SHOW explores the complicated relationships between its six protagonists. As romances between the sextet become intertwined, the series is widely classified as an homage to another cult teen saga, Happy Days, which was set two decades earlier in the same US state.

The 1970s nostalgia is illustrated by the episode titles - each episode is named after tracks from one of the bands that took the seventies by storm, The Rolling Stones, following in the footsteps of Led Zepplin and The Who, whose songs often inspire episode titles.

THAT '70s SHOW is a Carsey-Werner production. Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner and Mark Brazill are creators/executive producers and Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner, Jeff Filgo and Jackie Filgo are executive producers. THAT '70'S SHOW is distributed by Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution.
